An original 4 Gallon advertising jar used in the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition of 1876. This jar promotes the Hero Glass Works of Philadelphia, PA. No damage at all and retains the huge original shoulder sealing lid. The lid has the original milk glass liner in perfect shape. A rare opportunity to acquire a very important artifact from fruit jar and glass-making history.

Rare Colored GLOBE Quart
An unusual yellow colored quart Globe, which seems to have a slight “peach” tint to the color. A rather odd color, especially when placed next to “normal” yellow colored Globes. Also has a swirl of amber that encircles the side of the jar and on down to the middle of the base. This is the only amber in the jar. Good condition with no damage or stains, except there is a line of marks on the back, with one being a small translucent bruise (see photo). This may be from the making, where the jar was stuck to another while still hot and later detached, see photo. The correct glass lid is a very close match, but with just a slight amber tone.

Embossed on one side PET and on the other L&W. All strong, bold lettering. Original glass lid and rare original spring wire clamp. No damage or stains on the jar. Scattered light scratching. This jar is extremely scarce.

Apple Green THE SCRANTON JAR Fruit Jar
A rare, odd-closured quart in a scarce Apple Green color. Very strongly embossed and comes with its very unique original metal and wood closure assembly. The unmarked glass lid is an exact color match (one tiny flick on the edge of the lid, very minor). The jar is in great shape with good glass character and no damage. The base has a large “G.H.C.” over a backwards “1". A beautiful jar that is very rarely seen for sale, especially in this color.

Extremely Rare MOORES FISLERVILLE PINT
An extremely rare or singular small mouth Moore’s Fislerville pint. This tiny jar is somewhat milk-bottle shaped. Original 1-7/8" diameter glass lid and original squared iron yoke clamp. This lid and clamp fit only this Moore’s jar and no others, and are extremely rare or even possibly singular examples themselves. The jar is sparkling and shiny clean, with no damage except for a single prying chip on the lip in back, Click Here to view. Scarce Colored PINT Lightning LIME GREEN
A good Lime green colored pint with nicely whittled glass. Matching lid and original metal closure. The glass is shiny clean with no haze or stains. Inside the shoulder is a raised bubble that entrapped some residue at the edges. The ground rim has some minor flaking. In the back edge of the ground rim, there is also a very faint flash within the raised rim itself. A beautiful color that is very hard to find in the pint size.

Yellow Amber MAGIC STAR FRUIT JAR
A striking yellow amber quart with strong embossing and in beautiful condition. Original amber glass lid is a rare perfect example, with no chips, which is very seldom found in these jars. Original iron 3-piece clamp in clean shape. The glass lid is one shade darker than the jar, but the contrast is not as much as it appears in the photo. Note that this jar, as with all Magic Star jars, has light scratching around the shoulder from the original manufacturing. A great looking colored jar.

Very Dark Amber MASONS CFJCo 1858 HALF GALLON
A very dark red amber half gallon in pristine condition. Very heavy and sharp embossing and shiny glass with no damage or stains of any kind. That is very notable for this jar, as other examples in this very dark amber color have turned up, but for some reason they always have bad open bubbles. Not this one, and also the ground rim is perfect as you will find. A real beauty.

Superb CITRON Colored CFJ Half Gallon
This jar is really a pleasure to hold in your hands....great Citron color, sharp and bold embossing, nice glass character, and pristine condition. Comes with a very nice original CFJ lid also. The jar is the first example we have seen from this mold, with the height being about a full inch taller than any ordinary 1858 half gallon. A striking early jar.

This aqua quart is a fine example with sparkling glass, strong embossing, and even comes with the rare original glass lid with embossed 1858 patent date (edge roughness on the lid as usual). MIDGET Dexter Encircled By Fruit

Rare QUART Amber MY CHOICE
An extremely rare amber quart-sized example, complete with its original wire clamp and extremely rare amber glass lid, embossed “Pat Jan 3rd 1888". Jar is free of damage or stains. Has one small open bubble inside behind the embossed “M”. The smooth tooled rim is perfect. The lid is perfect also. Clamp has a little surface rust, not bad at all. The embossing on the jar is flattened but uniform. The base is embossed the same as the lid “Pat Jan 3rd 1888". The backside of the jar has a bunch of ghosted embossing.
